I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but the Philippines is in a state of calamity due to severe Typhoons. One Typhoon, Typhoon Ondoy (international name Ketsana) hit the Filipinos badly causing flood and a lot of damages especially in the Metro Manila area. What’s worse is that two more Typhoons are arriving (Typhoon Parma over the weekend).
Due to the severe and unforeseen damages created by the flood from Typhoon Ondoy rendering a lot of people homeless, Filipinos nowadays are fearing and panicking at a slight drizzle more than they used to fear getting sick due to the high priced cancer treatment & prescriptions. It’s really sad, but I can’t blame them. Losing your house and all your belongings, some even loved ones, in flood can definitely be traumatizing.
I hope the next two typhoons do not cause more damage to the Filipinos. They’re barely able to recover from the last one at the moment.
