Yesterday, a friend of mine invited me to a car show. It was a typical exhibit showcasing new innovations for, what else - cars. Lots of people especially attended the show most likely because of the pretty models beside the cars. Ha-ha.
Some of the new products that grabbed my attention were the new GPS systems, anti-theft products, road warning devices, and the new eco friendly auto air conditioning system. I got curious on how the new airconditioning was called “eco-friendly” so I asked the pretty model-salesperson.
According to her, the new airconditioning system used carbon-dioxide as coolant which was non-toxic compared to the HCFC’s used by current systems. HCFC’s are well known to deplete the ozone layer in the atmosphere. The new product, works as efficient as the present models but is still not mass produced therefore still costs much.
I’m very much interested in these environment safe products. More and more manufacturers now are shifting to cleaner chemicals due to government policies. I hope more people become concerned about nature. After all, we’ll be the ones to benefit from the preserved clean and green environment.
