My dad took me to a factory earlier and I couldn’t help but notice the clamps that hold things in place. They’re tiny things that people normally don’t pay attention to, (And that’s not what she said, haha!) but they play such a vital role in keeping things steady and balanced, as a whole.

I kind of want to be something like that. A clamp that keeps something from falling apart. Something that helps to maintain something strong. Someone that everyone can rely on without a hint of hesitation or doubt if ever the need arises.

But things aren’t always that easy. You can’t just declare your need to be something and then immediately become that.

Anyway, sorry for pouring my heart out on this blog, again. I know I swore ages ago that I would refrain from going back to my thirteen year old self and just get over things.

Who has been your so-called “clamp” ? Share it with all of us. Feel free to share your thoughts on the comments section of this post.

So my sister and I have been talking a lot since I got hired on my new job. She told me what kind of insurances to get, how I should manage my money (since my budget skills have gone down the drain ever since I got my previous job and resigned), and basically general management skills.

She also showed me where to get insurance for business should the need ever arise, because our discussion randomly ended up in starting our own business to generate passive income like the lazy butts that we are, haha!

Sure, thinking like an employee is fine, but if you want to get somewhere far in life, you have to think outside the box and think like an employer. Starting your own business can be good for you. It may have its risks, but that’s what makes it fun, isn’t it? Why play safe now and regret it twenty years later when you’re in your deathbed counting all of the things you could have done?

We all know that on weddings, the women get to show off how big the diamonds in their rings are, but personally, I believe that if wedding bands for men are good for them, they’re good enough for me, too.

It’s not about the size of the rock or how expensive the ring is, it is about how good the relationship is and how long it has lasted and will last after all that they both have been through. What good is the world’s most expensive ring for if the wedding was only shorter than that of Kim Kardashian’s?

What kind of wedding bands do you have, take photos and share it with all of us, maybe even share a little story about you and your loved one, too. Post it on the comments section on this post and let’s have a blast reading about each other and what we’ve all been through!

This time, our theme is “Summer Groovin”. Here’s what will happen: Everyone will dress like the 70′s. Big hair, spray on tan, super colored tight bell-bottom jeans and of course, extra large shades. You get the idea. Plus, we will have three days of non-stop dancing every night. For the team building activity, I thought of requiring everyone to show off their talent on stage! Big prizes await the winner of course.

I definitely am looking forward to this big event. This is my first time to organize it and I believe everyone would love the idea. Oh and if there are people skeptical about my suggestions, I’ll wash them up with the five kegs of beer I’m planning to purchase for this event. I’d make sure everyone will feel like their in the 70′s again. Now if I could only get those 70′s “brownies” again…

I suppose my lack of social interaction back then made me the noisy person that I am now, haha. People always see me as a snob when they meet me for the first time, and then slowly come to realize how far away from the truth their assumption was when they get to know me better.

What kind of kid were you back then? Were you the mean kid, the bully, the shy kid, or the talkative and friendly kid? What kind of child stereotype are you? Share it with us and let’s reminisce the good old days together! Post it on the comments section of this post, come on!

Ever since I was young I grew up under the influence of my brother. He has introduced me to a lot of things, especially the computer and the internet. Instead of playing the usual Barbie dolls and Polly Pockets that other kids my age played, I would find myself playing that nursery rhyme with an alien game on the computer instead.

I practically learned HTML by myself on neopets when I was nine, and, well, my brother got alarmed that I’d be hooked and spend the rest of my life playing that game instead of doing something productive in real life so he decided I should stop and blocked that website.

Given the fact that information is just at our fingertips thanks to the world wide web, I started browsing around on ways how to unblock that website. I then figured out the basics of networking and how to protect sites with cyber security. I personally feel that having that power over what people can and can’t access is just a wondrous feeling.

What have you always dreamed of when you were young?

My brother has always been fat. Okay, let me rephrase that ’cause it makes me sound a little mean. He has always been horizontally challenged. It all started when he entered college. He lost interest in being a varsity member and preferred to stay at his apartment in his uni because apparently the heat was too much for him to bear.

We all started an intervention and how he claims that he wants to lose weight, too.

He has been climbing all of these mountains and taking amazing pictures at the top. He doesn’t have decent trekking gear, however, so I plan on buying him some from C & C Outdoors for his birthday.

I want him to know that I support his endeavors, no matter how crazy they seem to be.

I still find it a little funny how he eats steak right after climbing a mountain claiming that it’s his reward for all his hard work, but to each his own, I suppose! Haha!

We have been planning to redecorate the second floor of the house because we have been relying too much on “balikbayan boxes” lately, and it makes the house seem like it’s cramped and a little messy.

I have had coat racks added onto my bedroom walls so I can easily dig through my clothes whenever I needed to dress up.

My mom wants to have this walk in closet in our bedroom hallway so we can sort our clothes out there, and I kind of agree. Right now my clothes are an immortal mess because I can’t seem to get rid of most of them and I am literally out of space.

I suggested having a book shelf made on my wall so I can put my books in it, but my mom suggested that I have a custom one made so I can push it around on my room when I redecorate instead.

It’s kind of a good idea so I can rearrange things whenever I feel like it and I wouldn’t be so restricted with where I’ll be dumping my stuff in.

My cousin has always been a fan of tiny things, and that is definitely not a euphemism. Haha! She collects figurines, bonsai trees, and miniature house models, and sometimes plays with me and pretends we were tiny and lived in polly pocket houses.

She’s turning eighteen this weekend, and I want to give her a miniature rose plant because she made me represent one of her eighteen gifts.

It always amazes me when I visit her room and there’s this little village with bonsai trees and miniature people with it, too. It’s like an entire different world in there.

It’s just nice to take a break from the real world and imagine a world of your own where you actually get to decide what happens next and control everything sometimes, you know? Even if it’s not real, it’s still fun.

My dad started buying EVH Amps for us because he wanted my sisters and I to start playing in a band again.

He made us study different instruments when we were young. He enrolled me and my sister Andrea in guitar lessons, and got a drum tutor for our sister, Ellyse. We started covering songs by The Corrs, and played on our basement. Sometimes our neighbors would even come and watch too.

My youngest sister was around nine when she started playing gigs in public, everyone would always be amazed at how such a young girl can play the drums that well. I’m proud of her!

We had a lot of gigs back then, but we had to concentrate on our studies because I was graduating college that time, and I didn’t have enough time to practice, so I took a break.

I kind of miss it, you know? Those were one of the things I reminisce a lot about. Good times.
