Nowadays, with people finally learning the importance of SEO to gain traffic or visitors for their website, services such as the directory submission service are becoming popular as well.
In my company, we’ve been having more and more client inquiries asking about directory and article submissions. The only problem is that they are not that knowledgeable about that field and keeps insisting on having something done that’s completely the opposite of improving their website.
Whenever this happens, I basically just ask the client what the website’s goals are, then tell him/her I’ll email him/her recommendations on how to go about solving the problem. My recommendations generally also contain a brief summary on what SEO is, the basics of it, and the benefits of my recommendation to the achievement of the website’s goals – in layman’s terms.
So far, this process has been quite effective. How about you? How do you deal with those traditionalists or offline marketers?
