I guess there really is no such thing as a perfect office ambiance. I thought I was getting there already – finally having the perfect office setup after five years. Then a close friend who’s also a colleague started causing problems ever since I assigned the attendance summary task to her. Well that would’ve been fine, unfortunately, she’s also my subordinate AND the sister of one of the company managers.
It’s really quite frustrating and sad at the same time. The current situation made me lose a good friend… or maybe she was never a good friend after all. Or perhaps she just changed and decided she’d rather be like one of those people who should be locked up in a drug rehab to give them time to meditate about the bad things they are doing to other people.
Sorry, I’m just quite angry for having to be put through this. But as my mom and my friend Mark had said, leadership is something that cannot be taught by someone, only you can learn it through experience. And I should take experiences like this as a great opportunity to learn… That, my dear friends, is exactly what I’m going to do. I’ll channel this anger into a learning opportunity. Thank you Mark and Ma! ^_^
