Did you know that Netbooks are not considered by resellers as “computer products”? Yeah, although you can find a lot of these products in computer stores, Netbooks are just considered as Consumer Electronics – similar to celphones, pda’s and ipods. So what if they are just consumer electronics? Well, by considering these as just electronics, their warranty will be limited to just a year, unlike PC’s which have three years warranty.

This is not to discourage those who consider getting netbooks
. They are cheap, efficient, and very useful especially if you’re on the go. Warranty will only matter if the device is damaged. Personally, a year warranty is more than enough anyway because newer models are introduced every month. For sure, no one will intend to use a Netbook for a span of 3 years.
