So seems to me Hollywood fiction films are already turning to reality. In today’s super fast PC’s, software development has become more sophisticated; and interactive games are becoming more (well…) interactive.
In the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009, Microsoft and Sony unveiled their new generation game controller prototypes for the Xbox and the PS3. These new controllers are not the typical because they are no longer held by the gamer. Instead, a sensor detects the person’s movements and translates it as movements by the game character. Cool huh. It’s just like in the “Minority Report” movie wherein the PC’s are controlled by hand gestures. By the way, Nintendo did not present a working prototype yet, although its president, Satoru Iwata, gave a sneak peak on what they have in their desks – a new controller which senses the player’s vital signs like pulse and mood. Yeah… Goosebumps ei.
