I’ll be starting with my new job on Tuesday, June 22, and I’ve been preparing for it for the past two weeks. When I say prepare, I do mean, really prepare – like a whole new makeover.
You see its going to be my second job and this time, I’ll be a manager right on my first day. I spent six years in my current one and I’ve never really had to dress up for it. But for my new job, I’m required to go smart-casual to corporate looking. So for the past two weeks, I’ve been hunting for designer ties, slacks, closed shoes, and professional but fabulous looking blouses, and I’m even planning to buy bags that matches the new look.
So far I’ve been successful by sticking to the basics and classics – black, white, gray, cream… I’m also scheduled for a wax and digital perm this Saturday to complete the boost in my confidence level. After that, my sister’s going to teach me how to do my eye makeup to complete the corporate girl look. Pretty exciting! ^_^
