If there’s one thing I hate about medicare, it has got to be its call center agents. Medicare recently declined my doctor’s request for rhinoscopy because of some reason I do not really know. So what I did was call ‘em up to ask for an explanation. Unfortunately, I got to speak with an arrogant bitchy agent who did not really know anything about her work. She told me that I was declined because of a pre-existing condition which is sinusitis. I told her I never had sinusitis before and I was never diagnosed with such. I became so frustrated so I just ended the call and just emailed them.I heard lots of similar incidents from my friends and they suggested that I get a Medicare supplement Insurance to fill in the “medigaps” that are not paid by medicare. This way, I don’t have to worry about being declined for some pre-existing condition that does not really exist. Anyhow, even if I already decided to get supplemental insurance, I will still do my best to get a valid explanation from medicare on how I got declined.
