After discontinuing my life insurance subscription due to me being financially challenged, I was surprised to receive an invitation to fill up a health insurance lead. I declined of course, especially since my company recently partnered with an HMO; giving all its employees health coverage benefits.

Truthfully, the only reason I availed of a life insurance was for the great health coverage it offered. You see, my parents were no longer employed when I applied for it. Given that, and the fact that their pension is currently on hold, I needed to make sure that no one worries if I get sick or if something happens to me…

A lot of people tend to just shrug off things like having great health coverage. But when calamity strikes them, they’re usually very sorry and you’ll definitely hear the phrase, “If only…”

Remember, our health is our main investment. Health IS wealth, and with that, it is a given that health maintenance can be very costly. Then again, why worry about your health when you can just pay a modest amount monthly for the coverage to get your health-peace-of-mind?
