Learning and Education Blog

About

This is a learning and education blog that tackles subjects that are related to, but not exclusive of, learning, education, personal growth, spirituality, literature, arts, society, school, books, and living.

While at work, I received an sms from my cousin Abi asking me if she could borrow my purple blouse and jag skinny jeans. My cousin and I are pretty much of the same size and built, and consequently, we do share clothes every now and then. I told her she could borrow the shirt but not the jeans because I only have 2 jeans I like and I was already wearing the other one. If she borrowed that, I pretty much won’t have any jeans to wear the next day.

Eventually, I found out that Abi was already wearing it and there isn’t much I could do. She apologized and told me that she did it only because she’s being teased a lot for the past few days about her hip hop clothes – not too professional for work, I must agree, compared to my jeans and shirt. I did tell her though that, even with the teasing, asking permission should be done BEFORE using or doing something, NOT after. And because what she did was a sign of disrespect, she cannot borrow anything from me for the next two months. She acknowledged that she deserves it. I also advised her to start investing on the basics – white buttoned-down, long sleeves, blue jeans, a white and a black shirt and tank top. You can never go wrong with those.
