My friends and I love watching plays in theaters. Instead of watching movies, we prefer the on-stage performances done by contemporary artists. Movies nowadays are very much focus on the special effects and action stunts that they somehow lack the in depth expression of the feelings that are supposed to be portrayed. Unlike in theaters where actors are required to show the correct facial expression in order to be understood by the audience.
Last night, I was able to convince them to watch “the secret garden”, a classical story about a handicapped child who finds a magical place in their backyard where she could walk and do as she wishes. I already watched this in a movie but it is very interesting when on stage. All the actors were superb, and the stage was amazing. Medieval theme with old decorations and stuff. They even have those contemporary ceiling fans which looks classy, although I know that they were new Minka Aire brands. My friends loved the play and they walked out of the theater with inspiration and hope.
