I have always thought that being multi-lingual was not only a great edge in getting jobs, but also a great opportunity to know a particular country and its citizens better. Since my family have some Spanish background, my first priority was to take up a Spanish Language Course.
Then again, Japanese courses are becoming more appealing to me since I am an aikido and kendo practitioner and I aim to compete there one day. However, my friends are insisting that I take up French language courses. After all, the French language is the most romantic, and it is an official language in 41 countries, most of which form what is called in French La Francophonie (the community of French-speaking nations).
With these in mind, and the fact that my mom bought me two English-French dictionaries when I was in high school, I have made my decision, I’ll go for French.
